Lyubomyra Burlachuk

Lyubomyra has diverse professional experience and significant achievements in three different areas of activity – scientific research, pharmaceutical business and business education.

Lyubomyra graduated the faculty of cybernetics at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and then worked as a junior researcher at Victor Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

In 1995 she started her career at American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly where within 4 years she made it up to the Head of “Eli Lilly” Representative Office in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus. Lyubomyra initiated the strategic innovative project on creating in Ukraine a production of rDNA insulin Farmasulin in strategic partnership with local pharmaceutical producer JSC “Farmak”. The first stage of the project was successfully completed by 2004.

Since 2007 she worked as Deputy Director-General of External Relations at JSC “Farmak” and successfully implemented the second stage of that transformational rDNA insulin project toward the end of 2011. So it took her 14 years of intense and passionate commitment to fully implement her dream – from strategic idea to production, sales and marketing in Ukraine rDNA insulin based on “Eli Lilly” technologies and insulin crystals. It dramatically changed the quality of diabetes care, Ukrainian insulin market, JSC “Farmak” itself and it’s stakeholders.

For her business achievements Lyubomyra received numerous awards from “Eli Lilly”, the American organization “Project HOPE”, as well as high awards from the President of Ukraine, Ministry of Health, National Fund “Ukraine – for Children”, Order of St. Anna of IV degree from Metropolitan of Kyiv and Whole Ukraine, Primate of Ukrainian Orthodox Church Blisses Vladimir.

Lyubomyra’s second Alma Mater is Kyiv-Mohyla Business School [kmbs], where she performed in four roles: Executive MBA program participant [graduation in 2006], Director of MBA programs, Associate Dean for International Affairs in 2012-2014 and since 2011 till 2014 professor at kmbs. She taught MBA’s her newly developed author interdisciplinary program “Beyond Business: Art and Science for Creative Leaders”.

Lyubomyra received acknowledgements from National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”, Kyiv-Mohyla Business School [kmbs] for her social educational projects and academic achievements, Order of Great Martyr Saint Barbara from His Holiness, the Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus – Ukraine Filaret for her service to revival of spirituality in Ukraine.

Lyubomyra is passionate about symphonic music and opera, philosophy and poetry, physics and mathematics. Loves nature and rescues lives of homeless cats (mini-shelter “Ark”).
