InsideThe Music is a cultural and educational project – a documentary television mini-series about the revolution and development of Ukrainian academic music during the times of independent Ukraine. The creative filming team, which was joined by the agency – the director of the agency Olena Perederii – the project manager, became the winner of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund 2021 grantee competition and received funding for the creation of 4 television programs about contemporary music of Ukraine. The heroes of the series were composers: Alla Zagaykevich, Oleksandr Shchetynskyi, Svyatoslav Lunyov and Maxim Shalygin, through whom Ukrainian viewers (so far only Ukrainian ones) will learn: “What is music?”, “How is it born and created?”, “What path does it take?” pass so that the listener can hear it?”, “What is modern academic music and does it exist in Ukraine?”, “What are the directions of academic music?”, “Which of the modern composers makes Ukraine famous in the world of academic music?”, “Why did humanity “invent” music and was it really humanity?”, “Why does a person like to listen to music and how does he choose what to listen to?”.

We worked on the project from June to October 2021, so that now, every Sunday, everyone who wants to can watch the programs on the EPOQUE channel.

We are sure that the project will have a happy television fate. The agency expresses its sincere gratitude for the persistent cooperation of Nastasya Suprun-Zhyvodrova (director, producer), Nikolay Zhivodrov (cameraman), Dmytro Knyazhechenko (sound director), Anna Kozyar (assistant producer), Nicole Fuhrer (second director), Diana Sazonova, (decorator), Edward Susla (cameraman). Musicians Antonii Baryshevskyi (piano) Nazarii Stets bassist, (double bass) took part in the filming. And everywhere, together with music, there was Stas Nevmerzhytskyi, a musicologist who accompanied the viewer and did not let him get lost.
