ROMAN LOPATINSKIY

Roman Lopatynskiy was born in 1993. He began his piano studies at the age of 5 with Iren Barinova, and at the age of 8 he became part of the chamber music class of Larysa Raiko.He has a large repertoire. At 16 he entered the Incontry col Maestro International Academy in Italy in the class of maestro Boris Petrushanskiy. Roman’s teacher in Kiev is Sergei Ryabov.

During the time of education he became prizewinner and laureate from more than 20 international and national competitions. Among them:

Grand Prix, Gold Medal and 2 special prizes from the Competition of Young Performers in Georgia (junior group), 2005
Grand Prix, 2 special prizes from the International competition „Silver Ringing“ –Ukraine, 2006
I Prize from the VI International Karamanov Competition – Ukraine, 2007
I Prize from the All-Ukrainian Paderevsky Competition of Chamber Ensembles, 2007
I Prize from the All-Ukrainian Polyansky Competition of Chamber Ensembles
Grand Prix, Gold Medal and special prize from the Competition of Young Pianists in Georgia (senior group), 2009
I Prize, Gold Medal and 6 special prizes from the 8th International Competition of Young Pianists dedicated to the memory of Horowitz
II Prize (Ist no awarded) from the Gitta di Gorizia Competition– Italy, 2011
III Prize from the Busoni Competition – Italy, 2015
II Prize from the Hamatsu International Piano Competition – Japan, 2015 III Prize from the International Competition “Premio internazionale pianistico “A. Scriabin” – Italy, 2020.
He has held concerts in Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Israel, Italy, France, Morocco. In February 2011 Roman participated in the Music Festival in Bad Ragaz. In April 2011 Roman Lopatynskyi played Beethoven’s Concert Es-Dur with the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Michael Sanderling. In July 2012 he performed Haydn’s Concert D-dur with the festival orchestra in Imola, Italy.
