The Dutch conductor and pianist Raymond Janssen is the initiator and founder of Cadenza European Art Productions. Cadenza European Art Productions has set itself the task of enabling cooperation between Eastern European musicians and stages in Western European countries, based on the conviction that there is an enormous traditional musical potential in the Eastern European countries. Partly due to the isolation of these countries, this cultural heritage has continued to exist in its authenticity. With Cadenza, Raymond Janssen would like to present this tradition to the Western European countries. For Cadenza, quality has the highest priority: only the best symphony orchestras and singers are selected to bring them to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, France and Italy.

On tours from 2007 to 2013, Raymond Janssen performed with 140 musicians from the State Philharmonic Timişoara and The New Romanian Symphonic Orchestra & Choir in the most important concert halls in the Netherlands such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, de Doelen Rotterdam, the MECC Maastricht, De Koningin Elisabethzaal Antwerp and the concert hall Luxembourg on.

In November 2011 he conducted The Queen experience at Gelredom Arnhem with 35,000 spectators. Outside the classical repertoire, he also conducts film music and concerts in combination with rock bands.

With the New Romanian Chamber Orchestra & Choir, more than 18 Christmas concerts take place annually at historical venues as well as a biennial cycle with the St. Matthew Passion by J.S. Bach, also in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

He was a master student of John Blot. In Düsseldorf he also studied choral and orchestral conducting with Prof. Wolfgang Trommer. Master classes with Bruno Leonard Gelber, Ralf Gothoni, Kurt Moll and Sahra Walker complete his training.

The first stages of his artistic career were solo répétiteur at the Theater Aachen under Prof. Klaus Schultz, musical director of the chamber opera “Kleine Opera” and the “Opera Comique” in the Netherlands. In addition to his concert activities, Raymond Janssen was a lecturer in orchestral conducting and piano at the University of Church Music in Aachen and from 2002-2004 head of the opera class at the Maastricht University of Music.

Raymond Janssen is a conductor with a pronounced affinity for singers, which is confirmed again and again through his intensive collaboration with opera singers from the world’s most important international opera houses. As a constant piano accompanist for Eliana Cotrubas, Gail Gilmore, Eugene Holmes and Janice Baird, he was at home on all major international stages.
